There hasn’t been MUCH news out of the Green Bay Packers camp, regarding OTAs … and we are rolling right into the season of minicamps and training camp, followed closely by preseason. The time is now for players to start stepping up and proving themselves worthy of making the final roster.

However, what news we have heard has been promising.

Rookies Richard Rodgers, Jared Abbrederis and Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix have received praise from head coach Mike McCarthy and position coaches, alike. Guys like J.C. Tretter and Sean Richardson have been stood out, and are garnishing favor among coaches and teammates.

Position battles are forming and that is a very good thing. Competition keeps things interesting, keeps players on their toes and keeps everyone moving forward. Word on the street is there are some very intense position battles heating up, moving through minicamps and into training camp.
