We’ve seen these kinds of things before, but USA Today’s 10Best.com’s most recent readers’ choice contest only solidified what we already knew … that Lambeau Field is the best venue of all 32 NFL stadiums in the league.
Four weeks of voting on the newspaper’s website for “Best NFL Stadium” produced these results:
1. Lambeau Field - Green Bay
2. Soldier Field - Chicago
3. M&T Bank Stadium - Baltimore
4. Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis
5. AT&T Stadium - Arlington, Texas
6. Heinz Field - Pittsburgh
7. Sports Authority Field at Mile High - Denver
8. Raymond James Stadium - Tampa Bay
9. CenturyLink Field - Seattle
10. Arrowhead Stadium - Kansas City
But we already knew that, right.
Known as the Mecca for many NFL fans, much like Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Boston’s Fenway Park, Lambeau Field is a football fan’s dream … with plans to only make the game day experience better in the coming years. The Packers have purchase many acres around and adjacent to the stadium with the potential for the building of everything from a shopper’s paradise to who knows what … the Packers haven’t announced specific plans yet for all that property.
However, the team is now in the process of major renovations to the Atrium at the stadium with plans to relocate several existing attractions, including the Packers Hall of Fame. The newly-renovated Packers Pro Shop is scheduled to reopen July 17 with double the square-footage and much more.
So, it doesn’t matter if one visits Lambeau Field during training camp or during a January Playoff game, the Packers are doing everything they can to make the experience one that will be remembered.
While the focus around the stadium is football, the Packers are looking beyond that experience to facilities that will attract fans and the general public every day of the year.
Yes, Lambeau Field is the best NFL experience … Something we already knew.
