With 25 days left until the start of the NFL season, our countdown to the big day continues.
Thursday, Sept. 4, is the day when the Green Bay Packers travel to Seattle to take on the Super Bowl Champion Seahawks.

Over the course of the next 25 days we focus on the number that represents the days remaining … and for today we take a look numbers 26 and 25.
Most recently, we took a look at #27, no, not Eddie Lacy, but rather another Packers Hall of Famer in Hank Bruder.
Today we move on to numbers 26 and 25 – two numbers that have been worn by a number of players who have heard the cheers at Lambeau Field.
For number 26, consider the likes of Chuck Cecil, Tim Lewis, Eric Torkelson, Charlie Peprah and even today’s DuJuan Harris.
They have all contributed in some way to the winning ways of the Green Bay Packers.
And as for #25, Ryan Grant, Harlan Huckleby, Dave Hampton and Vinnie Clark might all be remembered well.
But we have decided to focus on two others – obviously Herb Adderley jumps out at #26, while Dorsey Levens is our best at #25.
Once again we turn to John Maxymuk, the author of “Packers by the Numbers: Jersey Numbers and the Players Who Wore them,” to provide insight and background and take us back through the years – this time with essays about Adderley and Levens.
