Quarterbacks

Aaron Rodgers, Matt Flynn, Scott Tolzien

In most years the Packers usually only like to carry two quarterbacks on the game-day roster, but after the way things ended up last year when Rodgers was injured I don’t foresee them running the risk of being unprepared behind him again.

Plus, if it comes down to only picking one of them there isn’t really a clear-cut decision to make; Tolzien has definitely outperformed Flynn in the preseason, but Flynn has more than proven himself to be a reliable backup who can win games and run the offense sufficiently during the season.

Despite many conflicting reports out there, according to Rob Demovsky (Packers columnist, ESPN.com), Tolzien apparently does still have practice-squad eligibility, so Green Bay could try to slip him through. Because of how well he played during preseason and camp, however, it is highly unlikely somebody wouldn’t snap him up.
