Green Bay Packers: It's practice squad day

No doubt Ted Thompson didn’t get much sleep over the past 24 hours or so as he molded his team for the 2014 season.

Team cuts down to the 53-man roster took place yesterday and will be followed up today by the addition signing of players to the expanded practice squads.

All players who might be considered for re-signing to the squad will have to clear waivers first, which is expected to be completed across the league around 11 a.m. CDT today.

This season, teams can add 10 players to the squad – two more than was the maximum last year.

So, 10 players who are still looking for jobs as NFL players will have their dreams extended today across the league, including in Green Bay.

While reports have circulated that the Packers will be trying out players today during the practice squad re-signing period, there were several players cut yesterday who were also being considered for the squad.

Here is a complete list of the players cut from the Packers roster yesterday:

• WR Kevin Dorsey;

• LB Jake Doughty;

• T John Fullington,

• C Garth Gerhart;

• WR Alex Gillett;

• DT Carlos Gray;

• RB Michael Hill;

• LB Adrian Hubbard;

Jordan McCray;

• S Tanner Miller;

• TE Justin Perillo;

• RB LaDarius Perkins;

• DE Luther Robinson;

• CB Jumal Rolle;

• T Jeremy Vujnovich;

• WR Myles White; and

• CB Ryan White.

It’s not perfectly clear who will be considered for re-signing, but the Packers were very high on Banjo, Rolle, Perkins, Gillett, Myles White and Ryan White.
