1. Seattle Seahawks (2013 record:  13-3) Last season finish: Super Bowl Champions

Week 1 Matchup: vs Green Bay Packers 9/4 8:30 PM EST

The Seahawks on paper have everything in place to position themselves for a dynasty run similar to great teams of the past. A playmaking secondary led by superstars Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas bring a ferocious defense back for a title defense.

Red Bryant and Chris Clemons departure may hurt Seattle’s depth slightly, but energized youths are looking to cement their ranks to help the cause. Repeating for the Seahawks will ultimately hinge on the health of electric playmaker Percy Harvin.

In his absence, Seattle relied on the duo of Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin. As respectable as a Super Bowl may be the passing offense finished ranked 26th in the NFL. Since then Tate has taken his services to Detroit to be the compliment to Calvin Johnson.

If Harvin cannot remain healthy (likely the case) then Seattle will look toward Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, and a young cast to help Russell Wilson continue his dominance. And as well know the road has been tough for any returning champion in the NFC.
