Without Jordy Nelson, the Green Bay Packers’ wide receivers struggled in 2015.

Imagine Randall Cobb hadn’t been re-signed with the Green Bay Packers. Imagine James Jones wasn’t cut by the New York Giants. What mess would the Packers’ wide receiver corps have been in when Jordy Nelson was lost for the season?

Thankfully, Cobb did come back and Jones was available. But that didn’t stop it being a difficult year for the wideouts. When opposing defenses are jamming the receivers at the line and daring the Packers to throw the football, you know something isn’t going right.

What wasn’t going right was the receivers’ ability to gain separation, and when they did, they dropped the football. Nelson’s absence was always going to sting, but nobody expected it to have such a devastating impact on the Packers’ offense.

It wasn’t just Nelson’s injury, however. Rookie Ty Montgomery was making some big plays before getting hurt himself. After Randall Cobb punctured his lung early in the divisional round loss to Arizona, the Packers were left without their top four receivers heading into the season.

Let’s look back and grade the Packers’ receivers for their performances in 2015.
