Green Bay Packers fans, Lombardiave staffers and editors have had another of those incredibly up and down weeks that seem to be the norm when covering this franchise.

The Packers lost a couple of their own the week before, but they re-signed one of their own, too, in a week that also saw the team host a veteran tight end free agent, all the while planning for the biggest event of the year — the 2016 NFL Draft.

Nothing has come of that visit from that tight end’s visit as we all sit and wonder whether Packers GM Ted Thompson will actually pull a “surprise” in free agency.

In addition, the Packers said goodbye to one of the fans’ longtime favorites, all the while looking forward to which players will help fill out the roster through the draft and the signing of undrafted free agents.

We here at Lombardiave has been providing a plethora of stories about this storied franchise over the past six years and this past week was no different.

As free agency slows to glacial speed, and with the 2016 NFL Draft, OTAs, mini camps and training camp all on the horizon, we here at Lombardiave have been working hard to push stories that inform, enlighten, entertain and even provide a bit of controversy every now and again.

We strive to relate to readers and to show that, while we love this franchise, we are not cheerleaders, but serious about covering one of the greatest sports teams of all time.

So, we bring you once again some of the best of the best that we have provided on this site this past week; to give you another opportunity to view stories that you may have overlooked or had not seen the first time around.

We always respect your opinions and would like to hear from you … maybe you’ve got some stories you would like us to address … let us know.

In the meantime, turn the pages and delve into these great stories by some great writers covering the Green Bay Packers.
