Adrian Peterson’s been on the comeback trail, but I fear it’s been slowed a bit.

Peterson was arrested by Houston Police after an incident at a Houston nightclub early this morning.

Though there is not much information out about the incident, there are those who are saying there is plenty of video evidence from surveillance cameras and phone cameras – those videos have not yet been released.

The incident, according to some reports started when Peterson and some family members were lingering in the nightclub after closing and were being asked to leave. According to at least one report, Peterson asked to be allowed to get some water before leaving. However, words were exchanged and while walking to the exit Peterson was jumped from behind by one law enforcement official who was joined by others to bring him down – kinda like on the football field.

No doubt, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will be looking closely at this case.

If Peterson was shooting to be back in the lineup for the Minnesota Vikings on opening day, that appears to now be in jeopardy.
