Chicagoan explains why they hate the Packers, Brewers

Greg Couch, a Chicagoan who has been published in a number of big-time publications writes about the Brewers vs. the Cubs and Packers vs. Bears, explaining why the hate factor has been amped up the past couple of years and why things aren’t likely to improve for the fans of Chicago teams in the near future.

We can only say Touché, Mr. Couch. We couldn’t have said it any better.

What’s wrong with this picture?
SI.com’s recently released list of the top 50 highest paid American athletes is still led by that philandering fool Tiger Woods, but contains just three NFL stars in its top 10. In addition to Woods, second place also goes to a pro golfer, Phil Mickelson.
But surprisingly, the list’s top 10 only includes these three NFL star quarterbacks: Payton Manning, Matt Ryan, and Tom Brady. The list includes four NBA stars: LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnet, and Dwight Howard.
Rounding out the top 10 is the Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez. (more…)

Given the fact that so much news has come out about the Packers today, I thought I would give you quick glimpses of various sites carrying different stories about the team today.

The first, of course has to be about Brett Favre. Though it’s a story basically about nothing, we figured it should be the top story, just because it has Brett’s name attached to it.

Players, owners now have the ball

Eighth Circuit Court of appeals Judge Kermit Bye has kicked off to the team made up of the players and owners and expects them not to fumble.

After oral arguments were completed today in court, Bye encouraged the two sides to get back to the table and continue to negotiate and come to an agreement as soon as possible. (more…)
