Aaron Rodgers has had much better days than what he experienced Sunday in Kansas City.

So, more than 24 hours since the Green Bay Packers have been stripped of their invincibility, it’s still difficult to accept and understand.

Even the players and coaches are baffled by the previously unbeaten team’s performance – or lack thereof – yesterday at Kansas City.

The Chiefs exposed the Packers for what they don’t want to be. They mixed the recipe that brought down the king.

And all of Packers Nation still can’t believe it.

No, the sky isn’t falling, but even though the Bears come to Lambeau bloodied and gasping for air, they would also love to embarrass and beat their biggest rival.

That said, here are some links for stories about yesterday’s aftermath.

Enjoy reading, but don’t sink too far into the doldrums … It’s already time to start thinking about stopping those dastardly Bears.

The headline here says it all for those in Packers nation.

But you know what? I’m a bit relieved. No more of this unbeaten talk, time to hunker down, regroup, heal and go out next Sunday and get home field advantage against division rival Chicago.

As for today’s game against the Chiefs … Kansas City did everything right in this one. They covered well in the defensive backfield, the got pressure and sacks on Aaron Rodgers and they controlled the clock to keep the Packers offense off the field.

The result? A win for Kansas City.

That’s been the recipe for opponents of the Packers all season, but it was the Chiefs who finally put it together on the field.

In their worst outing of the season, the Packers suffered the consequences of injuries to their offensive line. Right tackle Bryan Bulaga went out first, then his replacement Derek Sherrod left the game with what appeared to be a broken leg not long after entering the game.

Needless to say, the injuries didn’t help the Packers offense gain any kind of momentum and indeed led to pressure and sacks by the Chiefs.

So, where to now? Well, straight ahead to a huge home game against the Chicago Bears Christmas night.

We all wondered what it would be like to lose a football game. Well, now we know.

It’s a feeling we don’t want to experience the remainder of the NFL season.

“Our primary goal is to win the Super Bowl … an undefeated season was gravy,” Mike McCarthy said after today’s game.

You’re right, Mike. Now it’s time to start over and move ahead.

Over at Arrowhead Addict, Patrick Allen posted the Q&A we conducted this weekend about today’s match-up between the unbeaten Green Bay Packers and the (we won’t mention their record) Kansas City Chiefs.

I was as brutally honest with my answers, which didn’t sit well with those who at least took the time to post comments.

In addition to reading this post below, you might want to go to the site and read the comments, too. I’ve been called an idiot before, so that really doesn’t bother me. What does bother me is that they really think the Chiefs are going to win today.

Call me an idiot, but I would be really stupid to put money on the Chiefs today … but like they say, ” On any given Sunday …”

Well, we all know it won’t be this Sunday.

Chiefs vs. Packers: Inside The Enemy Camp

The Kansas City Chiefs will try to do what no team has done in some time by beating the Green Bay Packers tomorrow afternoon.

In an effort to gather some intel on how to beat an unbeatable team, I sat down with Ray Rivard of Lombardi Ave, FanSided’s Green Bay Packers site.

Let’s go Inside The Enemy Camp with Lombardi Ave.

Do you ever get bored after watching blowout wins every week?

It’s not been boring watching the Green Bay Packers this season. Though they have dominated teams with their offensive prowess, you just never know what the defense is going to bring.

That’s what’s made this team entertaining to watch … At least for me. The defense has allowed teams to move up and down the field, but always seems to come up with the huge defensive stop when they need it … The interception, fumble recovery, the fourth down stop … This opportunistic group just seems to know when to turn it up a notch.

And blowout wins are never boring … Especially when the team is 13-0.

So, will Aaron Rodgers and the Packers notch win #14 easily in Kansas City Sunday or will the Chiefs give the Packers their best shot?

OK, so it’s that time of the week when we hear from the opposing camp about this week’s Packers vs. Chiefs game.

With just three weeks remaining in the NFL regular season, we asked Patrick Allen, the bigwig over at Arrowhead Addict, what is thoughts are heading into Sunday’s Packers vs. Chiefs match-up. He was so kind to take some time to answer our questions.

Enjoy! He’s brutally honest.
