Yesterday’s game between the Packers and Vikings had several memorable moments: The two long passes by both teams; Charles Woodson’s play all over the field; Aaron Rodgers’ 13 straight pass completions; and James Starks’ big runs to kill the clock at the end.

However, the biggest topic of discussion afterward was the kick – the kick that Viking Brian Robison planted into the groin of Packer guard T.J. Lang. It was a direct hit that resulted in a penalty.

Many thought Robison should have been booted from the game …

He did apologize for his actions following the game, but … in our eyes it was uncalled for and should have resulted in immediate action – as in being thrown out of the game.

As if you might want to see it again … here you go:

Here are a few:

• Packers linebacker Frank Zombo appears to be out for Sunday’s game against the Vikings … that’s after just one game of action after being cleared to play from a previous broken collarbone.

• Greg Jennings said he loves going to other stadiums and hearing the “GO PACK GO! chant.

• Former Packer Will Blackmon got a tryout with the New York Giants.

• Sam Shields appears to be making progress with his concussion testing. However, whether he makes enough progress to play Sunday remains to be seen.

• With Zombo out, it appears So’oto may finally get his chance to play. Many in Packers nation have been waiting since his breakout game during the final preseason tilt against KC to see him play.

• T.O., according to his agent, is ready to play and went so far as to claim he could play this weekend. But I don’t see his door being broken down yet.

• Vikings defensive ends Allen and Robison have 14 sacks between them. The Packers young tackles will surely have their hands full.

• Packers rookie received Randall Cobb tweeted: “Did I just get followed home?” Hmmmmm … maybe a bit paranoid?

So, just who the hell is Brian Robison?

Well, Packers fans and especially the Packers players and coaches should take note of this yahoo.

The Vikings’ defensive end certainly sent a verbal volley across the Packers bow this afternoon on KFAN, a Minnesota radio station.

As reported on Fansided’s The Viking Age, Robison was asked about the Packers winning the Super Bowl and he said he was “glad” the Pack won, but for all the wrong reasons, of course.

Asked why he answered as he did, here is what he said: (more…)
