All Minnesotans are aware of two things right now. First, the state government is shut down. Second, the Minnesota Vikings’ lease on the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome expires at the end of this coming season, and they want a new stadium. It is an inconvenience to say the least that the state must approve of a new stadium.

At the same time, Los Angeles wants an NFL team. There are plans in place for a stadium in the Los Angeles suburbs; the only thing missing is a team. Ladies and gentlemen, the Los Angeles Vikings are certainly not out of the question. This would not be the first time a Minnesota team left for Los Angeles. The Lakers moved there from Minneapolis in 1960. (more…)
