]]> This morning, Kaitlyn Collins, the Green Bay Packers cheerleader who has made national and international news this past week, appeared on the Today show this morning, Monday, Feb. 11.

On the show, Kaitlin talked about how her photo landed on an unofficial Chicago Bears Fan Facebook page and how cyberbullying has affected her. She talked about how young people already struggle with body image and how her picture and the comments that “ridiculed” her was “very hurtful.”

Kaitlyn’s video, which has more than 850,000 views, was effective in shedding light on the issue of cyberbullying and she has received a tremendous amount of support from many, including Bears fans who saw the Facebook post as offensive.

The site has since removed the original post.

]]> This past week, we here at Lombardiave.com were one of the first to break the story about the Chicago Bears Fan Facebook page that chastised Kaitlyn Collins, a Green Bay Packers cheerleader from Eagle River, Wisconsin, just down the road from where I live.

The story has gone national, as has her video response to the post.

Do a Google search and you will get more than 3,000,000 results. That’s pretty amazing.

She also states on her website that she’s off to New York City for interviews. This is turning into something global … more positive news from a bad, bad situation. Our congratulations to a woman who took the high road and the world took notice.

The site eventually took down the picture and the post of Collins, but insisted their post wasn’t cyberbullying.

Yeah, right.

And Jay Cutler isn’t a major disappointment.

I’ve always been supportive of the Packers cheerleaders, preferring them over the dancers that are claimed by the majority of NFL teams.
