Fewer than 12 hours after the Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII we have the odds on which team will win Super Bowl XLVIII … and the Green Bay Packers are right up there in the hunt.

Of course, the odds-on favorite is the New England Patriots (Yawn) at 7-1. Interestingly enough, Super Bowl champion Baltimore sits in sixth with 14-1 odds.

Ahead of them are the 49ers and Denver Broncos, who both come in second at 8-1 odds, followed by the Packers at 10-1. The Ravens and Houston Texans sit at 14-1 odds.

Though we put as much credibility into these odds as we do in our picks for the Kentucky Derby in February, it at least gives us a guide from which to work. In my mind, the Broncos may be a bit high given that Peyton Manning is one year closer to retirement and the Washington Redskins at 30-1 may be a bit low, but that’s just me.

Bringing up the rear are the Oakland Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars at 150-1 odds. If you’re a gambling man and think they may be better than Las Vegas believes, then you may want to place your bets today.
