That didn’t happen last season and according to recent comments from Packers brass, it is unlikely to occur this season. But you can bet that Murphy, who drove the most recent Packers stock sale, wants to expand Green Bay’s marketing base as much as he can.

The Packers President has been careful, however, to emphasize that any game played outside of Lambeau must be a road game, and not a home game. Surely the Packers masses would go berserk if they were denied a home game.
According the Packers Stock Sale, the most Packer fans outside of the U.S. are in Canada. Canadians purchased 2,000 shares. Perhaps Murphy would consider moving the next Packers at Bills games to Toronto, but the Pack and Bills don’t meet again for at least a couple more years. Stock sales were not allowed for residents of Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.

London has been the preferred choice for NFL teams who play in Europe.
However using the Packer Bar finder on the Packers Everywhere website (http://www.packerseverywhere.com) the only Packer bar in the three major European Capitols of London, Berlin and Paris is in Paris.
I really expected to find one in Dublin or in Berlin. Guess I’ll have to persuade a bar owner in Berlin to register as one on my next trip there.

Where in Europe do you think the Packers should play?

In the first 11 minutes that Green Bay Packers stock was available for sale today, fans bought up $400,000 in certificates that basically have no value – that according to Bloomberg.com.

Packers president Mark Murphy was quoted as saying, “This is a significant and historic time for the organization. In the first 11 minutes, we had 1,600 sales.”

The Packers are raising money to help pay for a $143 million renovation of Lambeau Field that will add two gates, new scoreboards, a new sound system and about 6,700 seats before the start of the 2013 season, according to the team.

Needless to say, it might behoove you, if interested in purchasing stock in the team this time around, to get around to contacting the team with your credit card in hand.

Holy cow, I know the fans of the San Francisco 49ers are upset because the Green Packers are unbeaten and have a two-game lead in the hunt for home field advantage through the playoffs, but this attack by Matt Hamm over at Niner Noise has gone a bit over the edge.

Hamm attacks the Packers for duping fans with a worthless stock sale to raise money for the team’s renovation of Lambeau Field. I’m not sure of the purpose of his rant, but you should take a couple of minutes to read it. You may even want to leave a comment on the site – there are already many who have.

I guess all I can say is GO PACK!
