The offensive line is going to have to play well Monday night. David Bakhtiari has been excelling at left tackle, getting better every week.
This fourth-round pick who was never supposed to start, has been outplaying the first two LT picks in the draft. He’s been outstanding against real talent at the pass rush. Julius Peppers is calling this week, and Bakhtiari needs to be ready to go; keeping Rodgers clean is the trick to putting up points. The line has also been excelling in run offense.
If they keep opening and sealing holes the way the are doing, Eddie Lacy has the potential to punish the Bears defense and help the Packers win the time of possession battle, similar to last week’s success against the Vikings.
It’s a divisional rivalry, perhaps the most storied in the NFL. It always has passion and emotion behind it; I think I better get started on the Pepto as soon as possible.
