SAFETY

What the Packers do at safety may all depend on how they view Morgan Burnett going forward.

He’s versatile enough to play either safety spot, but if the Packers see him as a better fit as a strong safety and playing up near the line of scrimmage, then they may look to draft Alabama’s Ha Ha Clinton-Dix (No. 2) in the first round or a guy like Jimmie Ward (No. 3) or Terrence Brooks (No. 4) in the second.

However, if the Packers see Burnett as a better fit at free safety where he can cover the backend and be that reliable presence in coverage, then they may look to draft a physical safety like Louisville’s Calvin Pryor (No. 1) in the first round or wait and take a chance on a guy like Deone Bucannon (No. 4) on the second day of the draft.
