2015 NFL Mock Draft: Post Free Agency

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jameis Winston – QB – Florida State

Personally, I am far too skeptical about Winston to make this pick and don’t believe Tampa is giving Mariota a good enough look. However, Tampa needs a Quarterback and it seems the Bucs front office isn’t as worried.

  1. Tennessee Titans: Leonard Williams – DE – USC

I struggled here because I would select Mariota with this pick in a heartbeat. However, It looks like the Titans will take the best overall player in this draft and hold faith in Quarterback, Zach Mettenberger. The Titans will at least have a pair of superb D-lineman to build a team around in Williams and Jurrell Casey.

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Dante Fowler – DE – Florida

I was between Fowler and Shane Ray. Pass rushers are hard to come by and the Jags should take advantage of yet another high pick to add one. I go with Fowler here mainly because I find that he fits the 4-3 scheme a little better than Ray.

  1. Oakland Raiders: Kevin White – WR – West Virginia

Although I have Amari Cooper rated higher, Kevin White fits Derek Carr‘s gunslinger mentality and will help him bomb it down field, as he loves to do.

  1. Washington Redskins: Shane Ray – OLB/DE – Missouri

Maybe the best pass rusher in this class, Ray will plug right into the gap left by the departure on Brian Orakpo.

  1. New York Jets: Marcus Mariota – QB – Oregon

The Jets front office stays put and gets their Quarterback. It’s too bad the draft is in Chicago this year so we will all miss the fans reaction to this pick. In all seriousness, Mariota will instantly bolster what was one of the worst offenses in the league last season and will have some weapons to throw to in B-Marsh, Decker, and Jace Amaro.
