7. Quinten Rollins, CB

Watch Rollins jump, cut and backpedal for just a few plays and one can easily detect some of the physical qualities that made him a stand-out point guard at both the high school and college levels.

Along with his ability to go step-for-step with receivers and maintain his balance, Rollins has also exhibited strong tackling technique particularly as a downhill defender making stops in the open field.

Though the five-foot-eleven defensive back only logged four starts in his first year at the pro level, Rollins led all NFL rookies with at least 200 snaps in passer rating allowed to the opposition, as noted by Pro Football Focus.

The Miami of Ohio import should continue to see time against three and four-receiver sets and has the instincts and movement skills to shift to safety if the Packers ever get caught shorthanded.

6. Jeff Janis, WR

From a pure ability standpoint, Janis may be the most talented receiver on the roster. The six-foot-three speed merchant picked up right where he left off after his memorable playoff performance against Arizona by continually beating a number of Green Bay’s first and second-team defensive backs during OTAs.

We’ve all seen the 25-year-old outleap opponents and come down with contested catches; it’s now up to him to master the technical side of the game by learning how to run to the right spots in the effort of gaining his quarterback’s trust.

The vertical threat is also a key special-teams component by using his size and speed to beat two, and sometimes three, blockers as a gunner on punts and kickoffs.
