Round 5a – Blair Brown, ILB, Ohio

At the combine Brown showed he has the athleticism to play in space and hold up on all three downs in the NFL. He ran one of the better 40-yard dash times for the linebacker group at 4.65. He also looked great in agility drills.

The 5-11, 238-pound linebacker also made a lot of plays in the middle of the Bobcats defense, leading the team in tackles (128) and tackles for loss (15).

Brown could develop into a three-down linebacker in the NFL, which would be a steal here in the middle of Day 3 for the Packers. They could use more depth at the inside linebacker position and a guy who can compete with Jake Ryan and Blake Martinez for a starting spot.
