Tight ends

Martellus Bennett

Lance Kendricks

Richard Rodgers

Beau Sandland

Out goes Jared Cook. In comes Martellus Bennett and Lance Kendricks.

Cook was a key piece of Green Bay’s offense last season, but the Packers upgraded the tight end position in the space of 24 hours. Bennett is a better player than Cook, and Kendricks ensures Mike McCarthy can use plenty of two tight end sets.

Both Bennett and Kendricks can block, and we all know the talent of Bennett as a pass catcher. A Super Bowl champion with the Patriots last year, he gives Aaron Rodgers a 6-foot-6 matchup nightmare who excels after the catch.

These two are going to be a lot of fun to watch in 2017.

Verdict: The Packers could still add another young tight end in the draft, but it’s all down to value. In a strong tight end class, if a talent falls at the right spot, Ted may go get him. Three TE sets, anyone?
