4. Aaron Rodgers

This wasn’t the sharpest of games for the two-time MVP. He missed some throws he normally makes and couldn’t get his team into a rhythm. But the way Aaron Rodgers played through obvious pain has to inspire you.

Playing on one good leg, Rodgers was harassed all game long. He moved around in the pocket and even scrambled for two first downs, although one was called back because of a penalty.

Dealing with backups on the right side of his offensive line, Rodgers still stood tall back there and did what he could. Drops and penalties killed momentum every time the Packers looked to get something going on offense.

The defense giving up 28 points in the first half doesn’t do the team any favors either.

Rodgers and head coach Mike McCarthy will have to figure something out to keep the team from starting out so slow. A quick rhythm passing attack coupled with a solid run game could get the job done. Maybe if Rodgers’ knee is up to it, another day of practice could help. But if rehab is needed then so be it. Rodgers on one leg is still better than most.
