3. Will Jones hit 1,000 yards rushing?

The answer to the previous two questions could determine the answer to this one. For Jones to have a chance of becoming the Green Bay Packers’ first 1000-yard rusher since Eddie Lacy achieved the milestone in consecutive years in 2013 and 2014, he’ll need to be given a featured role in LaFleur’s offense, and also not miss much time.

Jones has proved in his first two years in the league that he can be a game-winner for the Packers. You only have to watch his performance against the Dallas Cowboys in 2017 (125 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries), or his career-best game against the Miami Dolphins last year (145 yards and two scores with 15 carries) to see the potential Jones has.

In what could be a more efficient Packers offense this year, Jones could finally have the opportunity to prove why he’s one of the most talented running backs in the league. And he can do that by hitting 1,000 yards rushing for the first time.

Much will be determined by how LaFleur plans to use his running backs and whether Jones can play in all 16 of the Packers’ regular season games. But if he’s given a featured role, Jones has the potential to finish inside the top-10 for rushing yards in the NFL.
