2. Marquez Valdes-Scantling

Through two weeks, Marquez Valdes-Scantling is second on the team in receiving with seven catches for 71 yards with a 10.1 yards-per-catch average. Those numbers are slightly deceiving. Over half of his receiving yards came on one play in Week 1. Most of his catches have come on wide receiver screens for not much more than a yard.

For as great as Davante Adams is, he is going to need someone else to emerge as a serious threat. Adams will draw the team’s best corner week after week. It is also safe to assume the team will dedicate a safety to help with coverage. That is going to leave a lot of one-on-one opportunities for other players.

Geronimo Allison has more experience but he does not have the natural talent of MVS. If the tackles can neutralize the edge rush, the Broncos do not have the talent the previous two teams had in the secondary.

Chris Harris has been to the Pro Bowl, but he is not the player he has been in the past. He lacks the size to keep up with the Packers receivers and could have the right recipe to get the offense going.

In order to hit full stride, someone other than Davante Adams will have to get open.
