10 best moments for the Packers in the 2019 season so far
1. Perfect Aaron Rodgers
Talk of Aaron Rodgers being past his prime came to an end in Week 7. The two-time MVP put together a vintage performance as he lit up the Raiders’ secondary in a dominant Packers win. Rodgers threw five touchdown passes to go with 429 yards through the air, and he also ran in a sixth TD.
All this without Davante Adams. Rodgers found eight different pass catchers in the game, and the Raiders had no answer for the future Hall-of-Famer.
With a perfect passer rating of 158.3, Rodgers became the first player in Packers franchise history to achieve that milestone.
To make it all the more impressive, each of his five touchdown passes were to different receivers. The most impressive was his first, a classic Rodgers throw to Aaron Jones. It was a pass few quarterbacks could make, and the catch by Jones was every bit as impressive.
Rodgers threw another great pass down the sideline to Jake Kumerow, who stayed in bounds to do the rest. Jamaal Williams, Jimmy Graham and Marquez Valdes-Scantling also had touchdown receptions.
Rodgers made it look so simple. When we look back on his career, this will be a game that comes up. It was about as good as any game he’s played, and that’s saying something.
