Super Bowl

In all honesty, if the Packers make it this far, I doubt many will care too much who the opponent is. Simply reaching the Super Bowl would be a monumental achievement for first-year head coach Matt LaFleur, and in a one-off game, this team could beat anyone.

That said, some matchups would be more favorable than others.

Best-case scenario: Titans

Here’s an interesting Super Bowl storyline: LaFleur taking on his former team.

This would be far from an easy game, but avoiding the Baltimore Ravens or Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl would be great news for the Packers, particularly the defense.

That said, Mike Pettine’s unit would need to find an answer to the NFL rushing champion Derrick Henry and breakout star at wide receiver, A.J. Brown. But the Titans have been an up-and-down team all year and their 9-7 record reflects that.

The Packers would have every chance of winning this game.

Worst-case scenario: Ravens

The No.1-seed Ravens are going to present a daunting challenge for any team they face. The Packers defense could have a long day trying to slow down an offense that ranks No. 2 in yards, No. 1 in points per game, and No. 1 in rushing yards by a mile. The Ravens set a new NFL record for team rushing yards in the regular season.

The Ravens scored a league-best 33.2 points per game while their defense allowed 17.6 points per game, the third-best record in the NFL.

Lamar Jackson will almost certainly win the MVP award this season after throwing for 3,127 yards and 36 touchdowns with only six interceptions, while also rushing for 1,206 yards and seven touchdowns. That’s the most rushing yards by a QB in a single-season ever, and it was good for sixth in the NFL for rushing yards this season.

Maybe Za’Darius Smith could win the game for the Packers against the team that let him walk last offseason. It would make for an interesting game, but a huge challenge to defeat a Ravens team that dominated in the regular season en route to an NFL-best 14-2 record.
