Defense intercepts Wilson twice

Russell Wilson protects the football as well as any quarterback in the NFL, and he only has five interceptions on the season. For that reason, this is possibly the boldest prediction in this article. I predict that for the first time this season, Wilson will throw multiple interceptions.

Oddly enough, Wilson has thrown a lot of interceptions against the Packers. Including the playoffs, he’s played against Green Bay seven times and has thrown a total of 10 interceptions in those games. He threw four picks in the NFC title game back in 2014, and five interceptions in a loss to Green Bay at Lambeau Field in 2016.

The other thing to consider is that while Green Bay’s defense hasn’t been consistent all season long, it continues to force turnovers and make game-changing plays.

The Packers defense ranks third in the NFL for interceptions with 17, and seventh for total takeaways. Kevin King has five interceptions and has made a number of important, game-changing plays this season, including in games against the Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings.

Wilson doesn’t throw interceptions often, but on a cold night at Lambeau Field with a trip to the NFC Championship Game on the line, I predict Green Bay’s defense will come up with two interceptions.
