3. Packers are plus-two in turnover differential

Only one team in the NFL is yet to turn the ball over after three games. That would be the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers has been efficient with the football and not even thrown a pass worthy of being intercepted. The receivers and running backs have also protected the ball well.

The defense has come up with some key turnovers. They have three takeaways in three games — a number they will like to improve — and importantly they have come at crucial times. A perfect example was Za’Darius Smith forcing a fumble last week. The game was tied and the Saints were aiming to take advantage by regaining the lead in the fourth quarter. Without Smith’s play, it could’ve been a different outcome.

With the Packers offense building on their impressive work from the past three weeks, there will be pressure on Matt Ryan and the Falcons to keep pace. It’s also worth noting that Atlanta is dealing with injuries on offense: receivers Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Russell Gage are all on the injury report this week.

Ryan has thrown two interceptions in three games. If this becomes a high-scoring game and the Packers offense plays at its best, the Falcons will have to keep up on offense. That could lead to a couple of turnover opportunities for the Packers defense. My prediction is they make the most of those chances, helping the Packers get the victory.
