Cornerbacks (7)

The Packers have a talented young secondary and they have added talent at cornerback in the draft, which was among their biggest needs.

They have also brought back two starters from last year, Kevin King and Chandon Sullivan. While only time will tell who the starters will be this season and how the snaps will be distributed, there’s no doubt the depth at corner has improved a lot.

First-round pick Eric Stokes can compete with King for a starting spot on the outside, while Shemar Jean-Charles could potentially overtake Sullivan at nickel on the depth chart down the line. According to Ben Fennell of NFL Network, Jean-Charles has the best incompletion percentage in college football over the past two seasons. Last year, he had 16 pass defenses.

Josh Jackson didn’t play all that much in 2020, but perhaps a change at defensive coordinator will suit him. Ka’dar Hollman provides some depth at cornerback and also played a role on special teams last year.

Overall, there’s a lot to like about the Packers’ cornerback room. It’s a young group with plenty of talent and potential. And, importantly, they have good depth at corner, which was needed.
