1. Packers reach the Super Bowl, but do it the hard way

Like last year, there will be competition in the NFC for the Packers. The Super Bowl-champion Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Dallas Cowboys could all be in contention.

That’s before we mention the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals.

It will be a tough ask to secure a third straight number one seed in the NFC. The Packers may earn a week off in January, but they could just as easily have to settle for the third or fourth seed.

That would put them in the wild-card round. Win there, and they could potentially face two road games to reach the Super Bowl.

As strange as it is to say, that may actually be a benefit. We’ve seen the Packers struggle in cold Lambeau conditions during the playoffs of late. Those conditions don’t seem to suit Matt LaFleur’s offense.

Playing in a dome or in warmer conditions may actually suit Green Bay, despite the game being played on the road.

The Packers won the Super Bowl the hard way in 2010, entering as a wild-card team and winning three straight road games. A year later, they fell at the first hurdle despite playing at home as the No. 1 seed.

Playing at Lambeau hasn’t given the Packers an advantage in recent postseasons. I predict they do reach the Super Bowl this season, but do it the hard way with multiple road games in January.
