The Green Bay Packers will begin a new era on Sunday and it's finally time to see Matt LaFleur's offense.

The rivalry between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers has been mostly about one man for the past, 15 years or so. That man is now in New York and it’s a whole new world in Green Bay with Jordan Love taking over for Aaron Rodgers.

Will the Packers retain ownership of the Bears even without Rodgers? They just might and I’ll give you a couple of props I love for the first week with Jordan Love as the Packers full-time starting quarterback.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Packers vs. Bears

  • Aaron Jones Over 57.5 Rushing Yards
  • Luke Musgrave Anytime TD
  • Khalil Herbert Longest Rush Over 13.5 yards

Aaron Jones Over 57.5 Rushing Yards

The Packers finally get to run Matt LaFleur’s offense. Now, I too would rather have a future Hall -of-Fame quarterback than any offensive coordinator’s offense, but it will be nice to see what LaFleur actually wants to run in Green Bay.

I have a feeling that run is the operative word there, because LaFleur likes to run the ball. The Packers have been good at it with Rodgers, but I think they’ll be even more committed to the run-game with Jordan Love at QB.

Luke Musgrave Anytime TD

Everyone in Green Bay has been raving about second round rookie tight end, Luke Musgrave. I love everything that he brings to the table for this offense and I think he’ll be very helpful for Jordan Love early in this season. A big reliable target over the middle of the field is always a young quarterback’s best friend. Let’s back Musgrave and see if he really does turn into a star.

Khalil Herbert Longest Rush Over 13.5 yards

Well, we can’t only bet on the Packers. Especially with both of Green Bay’s starting receivers listed as questionable, I don’t know what we can trust. Instead I’ll flip around to the Bears for this final pick because money is money, even if it’s made betting on your favorite team’s rival.

Herbert is a dynamic runner who benefits from the threat of Justin Fields in the run game. His longest run of last season was 60-yards and he clearly has breakaway speed. The Packers do not have a lot of interest in investing resources to stop the run as a defensive philosophy so I like Herbert to have a good week, and a couple of explosive runs in a loss.
