Yesterday I posted an article in which John Clayton of ESPN took a look at Aaron Rodgers and his preparation for the season. I found another article by Clayton, whom I am not particularly fond of, examining the running back situation in Green Bay. Clayton does a good job of showing the purpose and method of Mike McCarthy’s madness that was the first few weeks of last season. Clayton leave no stone of the Packers unturned through this. A great read for all Packers fans who have faith in Ryan Grant and the running game.

Clayton Examines RB Situation
Praise Heaped on Aaron Rodgers
Yes, he hasn’t made a single NFL start. Yes, he has minimal game action. Yes, he is trying to replace a legend who was basically immune to criticism in the press. But that doesn’t mean Aaron Rodgers should not be praised for his progress on the bench in his three years out of California. To some it may appear that the media coddling that is associated with Brett Favre has made its way over to Rodgers.
ESPN’s John Clayton starts it off with some superlatives we know his pinhead for. He sounds like he thinks Rodgers will [...]
Patrick Lee
Many of us felt this pick was coming at #30 during the NFL Draft. But that got traded to the New York Jets. Then we thought it was coming at #36. Jordy Nelson came instead. #56? Sounds good to me. Wait, nevermind. Then it finally came at #60, 30 picks later than we thought: the Packers drafted a cornerback. Al Harris is going to be 34 this season. Charles Woodson is going to be 32. Harris was absolutely destroyed by Plaxico Burress of the New York Giants during the [...]
I’m No Financial Expert
The Packers released their financial reports today. I’m not an expert on money and such so I can’t tell you exactly what this all means. But I have three sources that shall do their best:
Packers’ Finances on Solid Ground (Packers.com)
Packers continue to make profits (JSOnline.com)
Packers fret about NFL’s financial future after clearing only $21.4M (SI.com)
From reading this, the expiring CBA does have a great impact on the Packers. Now, as I said before, I don’t know anything about money, but it appears that the cost of players is outstripping the revenue of the stadiums for multiple teams in the NFL. [...]
