Is Cowboys' Silence Fear?

In the Fan-Sided Blog Network, one of the most outspoken members of the network is our Dallas Cowboys blog, The Landry Hat. Usually in the days before an upcoming game, TLH is out spouting about how the Cowboys reign supreme as “America’s Team” and all other teams, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, are inferior.

But there has been something different this week. There has been no mention of the Green Bay Packers at all from TLH. TLH seems a little more preoccupied with biased newspapers, Clinton Portis and Brian Mitchell challenging each other to fights, and the upcoming matchup between the Eagles and Steelers. TLH does not seem to realize the Cowboys are trekking up north to the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field for a showdown with the Green Bay Packers.

Could TLH and the fans of “America’s Team” be scared of what the Packers have to offer? Donovan McNabb passed for 281 yards without his top two receiving targets and all 5’8.5″ of DeSean Jackson topped 100-yards receiving.  What will happen when actual wide receivers come into play in the Dallas secondary?  Could Aaron Rodgers repeat last year’s relief performance?  If Jackson can top 100 yards, Greg Jennings, James Jones, and Donald Driver could be looking to have a fun time.  The Eagles put up 37 points on the defense.  The Packers arguably have a stronger offense than the Eagles.  Is TLH nervous for this one?  Hmm…

I’m not going to make any predictions yet; that’s coming Saturday.  But either TLH and Cowboys Nation is overlooking the Pack Attack or they are their usual, cocky, arrogant selves.

I thought I’d stir the pot a bit.

Oh, can anyone get Jessica a ticket to the game?

“TLH does not seem to realize the Cowboys are trekking up north to the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field…”

National Weather Center Forecast for Sunday in Green Bay…Mostly Sunny….High near 68 F.

    oh…Low near 51 F

I bet Tony Romo is watching the GB vs DET  game smiling…. Johnson over the middle for TD’s… Romo to Witten is gonna be a bitch to deal with.  Let those “great” corners attempt to cover Owens… he burned them last fall when Harris followed him everywhere, and now Woodson has a toe issue.  Desean Jackson’s big play…. lmfao another highlight of Roy Williams wishing he could cover, but he’s out.

lmfao strong offense hell philly looked like a jugernaut vs STL and you played an as crappy passing defense at home and got… 178 passing yards? hell tavaris jackson threw that many yards and was leading them to the endzone at the end of that game, bigby saved rogers… and Matt Ryan looked like a veteran QB vs Detroit. Hell Kitna is no McNabb yet he passed for 276 on you with a rookie RB, not a pro bowl barbarian running back.

It’s been quiet in Dallas, meanwhile in here in the Nation’s Captial, it’s been a weird circus that’s been to entertaining to pass up on.  Sing your praises of Rodgers, but when the league has enough tape on him, and he hits growing pains I would like to read TRUE statements here and not smoke up the ass excuses.

And your track record with Jessica at the games isn’t great… she was at the game last year… ya lost.

Green Bay has not faced anyone worth mentioning. We’ll see how they do this sunday night against America’s team.

eagles put up points against us yes, but they also have brian westbrook in their backfield, and although i hate the eagles, hes a great player who must be accounted for at all times.  since your backs are nowhere near his caliber we can afford to send more rushers without worrying about the check down nearly as much.  my prediction, your O line gets rocked and rodgers makes poor decisions because of the pressure. we’ll get off to a slow start because of the “monday night hangover” but will pull off the win anyway. Cowboys by 10

stir the pot????? sounds like you been smokin some of it too. what the hell is this silence is fear???? yeah right….who the hell are you kiddin. we shall see. this is one game i have know worries about at all. i live here in n.iowa and i hear all your packer squakin all week long. i’m sick of it and it’ll be nice to put this one behind us so you guys get back to earth where you belong. hey it’s a late nite game so at least you’ll get a chance to see wisconsin’s favorite qb; brett farve play. good luck with roy rodgers this year, you’ll need it if you idiots think he can take farve’s place. we’ll win by 3 tds

I can assure you we are not scared, but to come into this thing cocky would be a mistake as well. Both teams look very good coming into this. Everyone can keep blabbing all they want with statistic this and blah blah that. The game will be decided on the field Sunday night. May the best team win, injury free of course. Go Cowboys!

Suppose there is always the danger you could catch us napping, especially after an exciting game like we just had. But I think we will pull it out at the end.

  • gphizzle

You apparently want us Cowboys fans to speak what you already know in your mind–we will beat you. Yes, you have a talented team. But Aaron Rodgers will feel the sting of a painful DeMarcus Ware sack on Sunday night. Ryan Grant will be stymied at the line of scrimmage. And our offense will pound on your head like a hammer to a nail until you realize that you are no longer what we yet are–undefeated. Cowboys 38. Packers 17.
