The Green Bay Packers square off against the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday afternoon in a matchup of two longtime foes that have been meeting since the 1930s. The Packers will once again be led by Aaron Rodgers and the Eagles will be without their regular starting quarterback, Nick Foles, and will be led by backup Mark Sanchez.

Today’s game features the Eastern Division leader Eagles looking to build on their 7-2 record. They invade Lambeau Field where the Packers are unbeaten this year and a place where Rodgers has been on fire, winning games against the Jets, the Vikings, the Bears and the Panthers so far this year.

Though the Packers are not facing a must-win situation, they must win to keep pace with the Detroit Lions, who are leading the NFC North by a game.

The Packers once again have a huge opportunity today – first, they can win a game against a playoff-caliber team, something they haven’t done in a while … they can also show improvement on the defensive side of the ball.

This is a big game, no matter how you slice it … one that will continue to change the complexion of the Packers’ season.

It’s not time to relax; it’s time to continue the push toward a division title and a playoff berth. The only way to do that is to keep winning games.

If the Packers are to keep pace with the Lions, they have to win.

In fact, at this point in the season, the championship-caliber teams take care of their own business – they win – and then let the forces determine the outcome of other games.
