"Packers vs Lions Preview: Teams: The Green Bay Packers (2-1) vs. the Detroit Lions (0-3). Time: Noon Sunday, Wisconsin time.  Place: Lambeau Field, Green Bay. TV coverage: FOX – WITI (Ch. 6) in Milwaukee and WMSN (Ch. 47) in Madison. Rankings: The Packers’ offense is ranked 12th in the NFL, including No. 22 in rushing and No. 11 in passing. Their defense is tied for second overall, including No. 18 against the run and No. 3 against the pass. The Lions’ 22nd-ranked offense is No. 31 in rushing and No. 12 in passing. Their 30th-ranked defense is No. 32 against the run and No. 26 against the pass. Injury report–LB Brandon Chillar (shoulder) is out. CB Sam Shields (calf) is doubtful. DE Mike Neal (side/rib), S Charlie Peprah (quadriceps) and LB Brady Poppinga (hamstring) are questionable. S Nick Collins (knee), LT Chad Clifton (knee), DE Cullen Jenkins (hand), LB Brad Jones (knee), S Derrick martin (ankle) and CB Charles Woodson (toe) are probable. Line: Packers are favored by 14 ½ points."

"Where’s Woodson: Charles Woodson knew he’d raised the bar with his NFL Defensive Player of the Year award-winning season in 2009, so the Green Bay Packers six-time Pro Bowl cornerback understands why folks expect the world of him. He’d just appreciate it if they’d wait longer than three games to decide that he’s having a down season. “I don’t understand it,” Woodson said as he prepared for Sunday’s game. “I don’t have a clue what people are talking about.”  What people are talking about is the fact that Woodson, who last year had nine interceptions, career-high 81 tackles (61 solo), two sacks, 21 pass breakups, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and three defensive touchdowns, enters Sunday’s game with 15 tackles (13 solo), no interceptions, one pass breakup, two forced fumbles and three penalties (one holding, two pass interference)."

"Jenkins miffed: Defensive end Cullen Jenkins is becoming more fed up by the day with team management of the Green Bay Packers and its refusal even to discuss a new contract with him. “It’s almost like maybe a slap in the face,” Jenkins said Friday. “I’m not the type of player that causes a big scene or goes out and displays his unhappiness. You just kind of feel like you’re not in the plans, like they just don’t see you as a valuable enough player.” Jenkins will become an unrestricted free agent in the next signing period, whenever owners and players decide it will be. The four-year, $15.84 million ($4 million signing bonus) deal that he signed on the eve of restricted free agency in February 2007 expires after the season. Although Jenkins will turn 30 in January, he has demonstrated the ability to play right end in a 3-4, end or three-technique tackle in a 4-3 and either tackle on passing downs. His versatility would make him attractive to all 32 teams, not to mention the fact he has the interior pass-rushing ability that all teams covet."
