Tonight the Green Bay Packers hit the field against reigning world champion New York Giants. Need I say more?

Unfortunately, I have to.

The Packers got an early touchdown on a bomb from Aaron Rodgers to Jordy Nelson, but that was to be it for the Packers offense as they were dominated by the Giants 38-10.

Packers came into the game riding a 5-game win streak. The Giants were coming off their bye.

Green Bay sat at 7-3 and needed to win to stay atop the NFC North. The Giants likewise.

The Packers failed as they gave up big plays, had stupid penalties and couldn’t get anything going on defense.

The Giants came out to score on the opening drive of the game and didn’t let up. Aside from the long TD pass to Jordy Nelson, the Giants defense hassled, sacked and shut down Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense.

Head coach Mike McCarthy said it was a “very disappoint  loss,” but he said he still had utmost confidence in his players, citing their character and ability to fight back from adversity.

He was also positive about the future and indicated his team’s fate was still in their own hands.

“This game makes everyone look inside and find out what they’re about. We were beaten very thoroughly tonight … but we’ll be ready for Minnesota [Dec. 2). Everything we want to accomplish is still in front of us.”

Second and 10, 59 yard screen pass to Bradshaw to the 2 yard line outruns everyone, but Davon House runs him down and makes tackle.

First and goal, Manning under center misses pass badly over the head of tight end who was wide open at the goal line.

Second and four, Rodgers drops straight back and hits Jordy Nelson for 61 yards down the right sideline, beating Corey Webster on the coverage.

Giants challenge the touchdown, saying Nelson went out of bounds. He appears to be in – ruling on the field stands
