The Green Bay Packers held a night practice tonight as they prepared to play under the lights tomorrow night for the annual Family Night scrimmage in the bowl of Lambeau Field.
On a night when the team conducted many individual drills, the team did run some 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills as well.
While the team was under the lights, there were a few players who were caught in the spotlight with a nice night of practice. One of them was Jarrett Boykin, who made several nice plays and is taking advantage of the injuries to other receivers and the increased opportunities.
Another was defensive lineman Mike Daniels, who was tough in one-on-one drills.
But the highlight of the night came at the end of practice when Aaron Rodgers, in the two-minute drill, hit Jeremy Ross on the sidelines, connected with James Jones over the middle for a 20-yard completion, and then hit Jermichael Finley over M.D. Jennings and Jerron McMillian for the touchdown.
The following is the running tweets provided online by Packers beat writers. Check out the increased use in social media video by the reporters. Pretty cool.
Here’s some post-practice injury notes that came from coach Mike McCarthy:
