Detroit Lions At Green Bay Packers: Streaking Is Legal In Wisconsin
By Bill Walton
Packers defensive line / LBs
Job #1 would seem to be bottling up Detroit RB Reggie Bush. Given that the Packers have done a fairly good job against the run so far this season I’m more optimistic that they’ll be able to handle things up front than I would have been last season. People are saying Packers DT Johnny Jolly is one reason for the improvement in the Packers run D. I think another is better tackling. Either way the Packers D linemen could easily be seething about all the praise and recognition the Lions D line gets while the Packers big guys labor in anonymity if not actual obscurity. Think stuff like that doesn’t matter to grown men like these? Think again. I’ll be watching to see how LB Clay Matthews looks after his yearly bout with hamstring issues, how solid the D line is at the point of attack, and how well the outside backers contain Bush and the Lions running game.
