According to reports by Bleacher Report’s Michael Schottey, Gillmore was one of the most impressive players on Monday during the first practice for the Shrine Game. He apparently caught everything thrown to him.
Gillmore will be an interesting prospect to watch this weekend. He is a tall, athletic tight end that has soft hands and provides a reliable target for quarterbacks in the middle of the field.
He lacks top-end speed, which has hurt his draft stock, and he needs to prove to teams he can be an effective blocker in the run game. At Colorado State, he was primarily used in the passing game.
As a senior, Gillmore recorded 47 receptions for 577 yards and two touchdowns. He could be a late-round gem that would be a real asset to Green Bay’s offense.
