The 2014 Green Bay Packers: Top Storylines at Each Position

RUNNING BACK: Where does DuJuan Harris fit?
The Packers seem set at running back with Eddie Lacy and James Starks forming an effective one-two punch. I also expect Jonathan Franklin’s role to expand this season as McCarthy and the Green Bay coaches find more creative ways to use Franklin’s talents in their offense.
Franklin has all of the tools to be a productive third-down back, but he still needs to improve his ability to pick up the blitz to unseat John Kuhn in this role.
The real question in the Packers backfield is where DuJuan Harris fits into the picture.
He was Green Bay’s most effective back in the 2012 season but didn’t play a down last season because of a knee injury he suffered in training camp.
Harris has plenty of skill. He’s an explosive runner with a quick upfield burst, but it’s hard to imagine he’ll push ahead of either Lacy, Starks, or Franklin in training camp.
Even if the Packers keep four running backs on their roster this season, Harris will have to beat out talented young backs, Michael Hill and Rajion Neal.
Harris may be the odd man out at the position this year, much like Alex Green last season.
He’ll have to prove he’s healthy and the same back the Packers loved late in the 2012 season.
