Hey, Green Bay Packers fans – the time we have all been impatiently waiting for is almost finally here: The 2014 season starts in just over a month!
While it is nearly time to begin what is sure to be another excitement-filled season of football, there are still a couple of meaningful tasks in which teams must partake, chief among them being training camp and the preseason.
By now fans have a pretty good idea of what their teams should look like for the upcoming year, but there are still roster spaces that have yet to be determined. This next month is the time for players to step up and prove themselves worthy of one of the coveted spots on a team’s roster.
Like every other team, the Packers have some tough decisions to make before the 53-man cutoff date. Some will be more difficult than others, but the likes of GM Ted Thompson and head coach Mike McCarthy have been through this process many times over and have more than proven themselves at being adept in handling these choices with planning for now and an eye for the future as well.
