Running Back
Starter: Adrian Peterson, MN
Third-Down Back: Matt Forte, CHI
Fullback: Jerome Felton, MN
Peterson is just a notch ahead of every other back in the NFL. A perfect balance between speed and power, Peterson has rushed for more than 10,000 yards and 86 touchdowns in just seven seasons as a pro.
The former Oklahoma Sooner may only have a couple of good seasons left before his career winds down, but at this point, he is still the top back in the league.
Forte is one of the best receiving halfbacks in the NFL and would be perfect as a third-down back on a roster. Forte nearly topped 2,000 total yards last season and averages right around 60 receptions and 500 yards receiving per season.
Felton is the man that clears the way for Peterson each season and is one of the best run-blocking fullbacks.
Reserve: Eddie Lacy, GB
Last year’s Offensive Rookie of the Year is a rising star and should be a perennial 1,000-yard rusher.
