Cornerback (5)
Starters: Sam Shields, Tramon Williams, Casey Hayward
Backups: Davon House, Jarrett Bush
Cut: Jumal Rolle, Demetri Goodson, Ryan White, Antonio Dennard
Shields, Williams, and Hayward are a solid starting three. Hayward could really reassume his role as a playmaker at the nickel spot this year. House has had a great preseason and could challenge for playing time in nickel or dime defense.
Bush should make the final roster because he’s still the team’s best special teams player, and he’s decent as a fifth cornerback on the roster.
Rolle has shown plenty of potential this summer and would be a good candidate for the practice squad. Goodson has been up and down, but hasn’t done enough to move ahead of Bush or Rolle.
