Morgan Burnett, Micah Hyde, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Sean Richardson, Chris Banjo
After a year of abysmal play in this spot, all of a sudden there is an abundance of talent on display. Each of the top four players could make an argument for being chosen as a starter.
Burnett has the big contract and has shown ability in the past that keeps the coaches high on him, Hyde has probably been the top safety here since the coaches started playing him there during the offseason, Clinton-Dix has the first-round pedigree and ability, and Richardson has displayed all offseason the playmaking this position sorely lacked in 2013.
Banjo hasn’t reached the heights of the others, but has also shown skills at safety and in special teams work that should grant him a roster spot.
