What more can be said about America’s team? Three straight years of do or die, win and get in playoff games have resulted in… well… you’re not getting in kind of performances.
Tony Romo is coming off of back surgery and the Cowboys solution as a backup is Brandon Weeden. Call me crazy right? I’m guessing that the hope is that the offensive line is ready to haul the load and Demarco Murray has become that complete running back that most of us think he is.
Combine that with the explosive talent of Dez Bryant and the Cowboys offense will keep them in a game. The defense needed to improve dramatically for Dallas to contend this year. An already disgruntled Demarcus Ware exited to Denver.
To make matters worse the Cowboys lost Sean Lee in training camp immediately. Ware’s potential replacement in rookie Demarcus Lawrence is sidelined with an ankle injury. Other training camp injuries have derailed what was an already underwhelming defense before.
It could get ugly for Jason Garrett quickly in Dallas…
