If there were anything to be excited about on this team besides Rodgers, it is the two guys right there in that picture above.
Nelson is currently the focus of everything the offense has been doing, garnering up some monster stats in the process. Cobb hasn’t been on quite the same pace, but he does have three touchdowns in only two games, working well in both the red zone and the short-yardage game.
Just last week alone, these two combined for nearly 250 receiving yards and 3 TDs; they could be the top duo in the league through two games.
Adams and Boykin haven’t done much out there yet over two games, but one does show some signs to be excited about – Adams.
It was only one game, but Davante began seeing more time working as the #3 receiver in Boykin’s place during the second half, putting up 5 catches and 50 yards in the process. Boykin meanwhile has 1 catch for six yards in two games, with some key drops that have cut into his playing time.
These guys should, as a group, have a great day, and it should be in a pattern that is to be expected to this point; Nelson puts up big yardage, Cobb makes the key underneath plays, Adams makes a few more catches, and Boykin does nothing while losing more time to Adams.
Predictions:
Nelson – 120 yards, TD
Cobb – 70 yards, TD
Adams – 60 yards
Boykin – 15 yards
Verdicts:
Must-Start – Nelson, Cobb
If Desperate – Adams
Do Not Start – Boykin
