The Green Bay Packers went into Sunday’s road game at the Chicago Bears with a 1-2 record, an wilting offense that couldn’t seem to move the sticks or score points, a defense that was nothing short of inconsistent and a fan base that was wanting to relax, but just couldn’t seem to stop squirming.
After 60 minutes of play against the Bears, the Packers lost just about every statistical category to the Bears, with the exception of the most important one – the most points on the scoreboard.
The Packers clearly took advantage of every opportunity they had. In fact, they could have left punter Tim Masthay at home because he didn’t see the field once.
This was one of the most satisfying wins in a long time for Green Bay. We may look back on this game as a significant turning point in the 2014 season.
So, how did Packers fans see the game going in?
That’s the question we asked our Facebook page followers prior to Sunday’s game. Like good Packers fans, the vast majority thought the Packers would come away with the win … and they were right.
Just for the record, my prediction was a Packers win, 24-17 … well, I got the 17 right, but not the Packers score.
Just for fun, we are publishing everyone’s response to the question … check out to see just who was the closest with the final score …
