Cobb called his last two performances “embarrassing.”
He wasn’t involved in the offense like we are used to seeing. Since his amazing playoff-clinching touchdown in Chicago last season, we expected an extension of that fire, and we just didn’t see it.
He paired with Jordy Nelson again for a breakout game against the Bears this week, coming up with two touchdowns and some key catches to sustain drives.
Cobb is a dynamic player and we need his confidence regained so that he can continue to scare defenses in the slot.
He’s a game-changer, like Jordy Nelson, and when he is in a slump, it can be felt.
However, Cobb made strides this week to recover his old identity and with a contract extension looming, is going to continue to play hard to earn his keep.
