QB – Aaron Rodgers
After a slow start to the year and coming off one of his worst games ever, Aaron Rodgers told fans exactly what they needed to hear: R-E-L-A-X. If that didn’t calm them down, then his performance on Sunday surely did. He pulled out all the stops by tossing 4 TDs, spreading the ball around better and involving everyone in the game. He was so on fire that the refs HAD to take off his best play from the board: the ridiculous in-traffic, over multiple defenders, in-stride could-have-been TD to Davante Adams. Point is, dude was killing it out there.
Now that he has gotten himself and the offense (besides the run-game; more on that later) revved up, he should be able to do some consistent damage to defenses. It’ll help that the ones to be faced now aren’t as threatening as the ones faced earlier in the year (besides Detroit, which still has game #2 coming), but finding rhythm is even more crucial and Rodgers seems to have found some. Against a defense led by Mike Zimmer — who has helmed defenses that have caused Rodgers trouble previously — I think he will find a way to continue bringing his A-game.
Prediction: 275 yards, 3 TDs
Verdict: Must-Start
